Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Jif the cat...

Here is some information on Jif from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Jif came to the shelter in 2010 when she was just 6-months old. She was born as a stray kitten in a cat colony. When we first saw her she had a peanut butter jar stuck on her head. It took over a month to catch her.

Jif has been with us ever since. She is a friendly cat, but very sad. She would like to have a home of her own and a lap she could sit on and not compete with other cats.

She will take a little getting used to her her new home as she has never had one, hut with a little patience, she will be fine.

Jif would do best in a home with no other cats or one laid back cat.

She most likely will not work well with a dog unless it a a quiet one not interested in cats."

If you would like to visit Jif or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-398-9500 or stop in any day between 11a-3p.
