The fun on this cold, quiet weekend in South Jersey is highlighted by Sunday's Super Bowl game.

More accurately, the highlight will be the parties many of us will attend on Sunday; to socialize, overeat, watch some funny commercials, and, with any luck, see a half-descent football game.

Whether you plan on watching at home, at a friend's, or down at the local watering hole, enjoy the game. I hope your team wins. I'm fairly certain my team won't be winning, because the Eagles missed their flight to Arizona. Something about a golf game...

- Atlantic City : Indoor Auto Racing, Fri-Sat. 1/30-31, Boardwalk Hall, the popular two day auto racing event will be the 13th running of the Gambler’s Classic and will draw more than 200 competitors from throughout the Northeastern United States and Canada.

- Egg Harbor Township: Free-throw competition, Fri. 1/30 @ 6pm, Recreation Center, boys & girls, 9-14 years old, 609-412-1031
- Wildwood: The Boardwalk Kennel Club presents the All Breed Dog Show, thru Sun. 2/1, Convention Center, AKC All breed dog show featuring Best of Breed Competition, Police K-9 Unit Demonstration, Obedience and Rally Trials, vendors and much more! Competitions begin at 8 a.m. daily. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for Senior Citizens, children 12 and under $2.
