Weekend Happenings: Somers Pt. Beach Concerts Return, Borgata’s Festival Park Opens + More
The 22nd annual Somers Point Beach Concert Series begins Friday June 12th at the William Morrow Beach / Municipal Beach Park, between Higbee and New Jersey Avenues on Bay Avenue in Somers Point.
Friday night's performers are "Swift Technique", described as a "funky Philly jammin’ brass band with a New Orleans flair.
This is also the grand opening weekend for Borgata's new Festival Park, the 4,500 person capacity outdoor concert venue and festival grounds. Saturday's 5pm opening line-up features long-time Philadelphia favorites The Hooters, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and G. Love & Special Sauce.
