In early October, vandals broke in, damaged and robbed the snack stand used by Somers Point Little League. Last weekend, the community came together to make repairs to the snack stand.

Dan Foreman, president of Somers Point Little League, described to the Press of Atlantic City how they found the stand the Saturday morning after the vandalism; with a the door broken in, chocolate syrup smeared on the floor, sodas spilled, candy stolen and the freezer left open, ruining all the food.

The Little League put out a pleas on Facebook for volunteers to donate goods needed or to help clean, paint and renovate the snack stand. Last Saturday, the community responded.  A group of volunteers began the two-day job of cleaning and painting the stand, a new blue color, no less!

You can still volunteer to help with the second day of the cleanup, to be announced soon.

Great job by all!
