Sophie, a Senior Looking for a Retirement Home – Pet of the Week
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.
This week we met Sophie the dog...
Here is some information on Sophie from the Humane Society of Ocean City:
"Sophie, aka... Applesauce, has been through a lot and deserves a loving happy home.....We brought her to the HSOC from an overcrowded shelter in New Jersey in hopes of making her dream of finding a home come true.
She is a 14-year old lab mix who was found by animal control. She has high anxiety while in the kennel but outside or in our enrichment center she is fun, playful and very loving. Her favorite thing is to snuggle on the couch and we are hoping to find someone to provide her the love and the couch."
If you would like to visit Sophie or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-398-9500 or stop in any day between 11a-3p.
To adopt from the HSOC you will need one form of identification, which includes your name, permanent address and proof of ownership (i.e., localtax stub). If you rent, written approval from your landlord is required as well as personal identification.
