The search for the 14-year-old boy who has been missing since  Sunday evening has been suspended.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard the search for the boy included 20 miles of ocean Sunday into Monday. Ocean City Fire Chief Christopher Breunig confirmed that the boy was from Phildelphia. The boy's name was Corinthian Hammond.

Hammomd and a group of teenagers were swimming near the Ninth Street beach around 7 PM on Sunday. The group got caught in a rip current and were pulled out to sea. The beaches are closed to swimmers at 5:30 PM on Sunday.

The search team included firefighters, Beach Patrol members and the Police Marine Unit from from Ocean City and the U.S. Coast Guard.
