The Facebook post says that Payton Jewelry will be a year-round business and is now hiring for summer and year-round positions.
The departing business in this location, Henry's, which goes by the tagline "Ocean City's Landmark Jeweler", has been open at their 12th Street store for 48 years, selling a variety of jewelry and beach and athletic wear, sweatshirts and t-shirts.
The 9th Street location of Henry's had been a comparatively new venture in this prime spot on the Boardwalk. There is another Henry's Landmark Jeweler on Washington Street in Cape May.
No opening date has been given for the new Payton Jewelers on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
