Kissing under the mistletoe is a well known holiday tradition. The history of the mistletoe dates back to the ancient Greeks, according to Mental Floss.

According to tradition, if a women is caught standing under the mistletoe a man may kiss her. It may be a good idea to play it safe though, and always ask first!

This weekend, Six Flags Great Adventure will attempt to go for a Guinness World record of people kissing under the holiday mistletoe, according to NJ.com!

The mistletoe kissing extravaganza will take place at approximately at 5:15 PM, this Saturday, at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. You and your partner will have to have a holiday smooch for at least 10 seconds in order to qualify.

Simultaneous kissing will also take place at Six Flags in California, Georgia, Texas and Missouri in order to shatter the word record, which by the way, according to the Guinness book of world records, is 402 people or 201 couples smooching away under the mistletoe.

You must be registered by Saturday at 4:30 PM in order to lock in a chance to lock lips and help break this world record!
