The definition of 'White Christmas' means at least one inch of the white stuff on the ground come Christmas Day.

If you're a snow lover, and you've been dreaming of a 'White Christmas', then you might really loves this. This year, the odds have dramatically increased of having the the white stuff on the ground come Christmas Day!

According to Will I Get A White Christmas.com, the odds have risen up to 50% that there will be a White Christmas in the Atlantic City area. Philadelphia also had a 50% chance of snow.

Last year (2015) the odds stood at 7% for our area. The presence of El Nino in 2015 really hurt the chances of even having snow on Christmas Day. In fact, I remember walking around in a t-shirt last Christmas Eve!

I'd actually be extremely happy with maybe just a couple of inches of snow come Christmas Day. Anything more though would turn into a real Christmas headache!

The Farmer's Almanac recently came out out with their long range forecast for the winter of 2017. It looks like most of the snowfall, which will be above normal. Get ready to bundle up starting in late December right through mid February. The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting some of the coldest temps of the winter during this time!
