How does Apple Loaf Cake sound for dessert?
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped tart apples (about 2 medium apples)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (Craisins are a good substitute if you have a nut allergy)
Cream butter, vanilla, sugar and eggs together.
Sift flour and dry ingredients in a bowl, add to creamed butter and beat.
Pour into a greased, floured loaf pan and bake at 350 until a toothpick comes out clean.
