The spotlight was on community as residents gathered in Ocean City to celebrate and remember the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The service was attended by close to 300 people at at the Hughes Performing Arts Center in Ocean City. The program was started 25 years ago by the late Rozelia Wiggins Cobb who was actively involved in her community. Cobb taught at Ocean City Intermediate School and was remembered and honored at the service.

Also receiving honors for their work in the community were Ocean City High School students Gretchen Keyser, Benjamin Fischer, Darby Grant, Enrique Gayatan, Matthew Catanoso, Christopher Lechner and Celena White.
