Andrew Millstein is a local boy who has done very, very well!

Millstein, 53, who graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1979, has been promoted to president of Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Under his guidance as vice-president of Disney Animation Studios, Millstein oversaw the making of box office hits like "Wreck-It Ralph", "Tangled", and the Academy Award winning "Frozen".

Millstein moved to California after college with a dream of working in the movie business.

His father, retired Ventnor dentist Sidney Millstein, told the Press of Atlantic City, "I'm very proud of him.  I appreciate the fact that he grew up in Margate and went to Atlantic City High School."

Andrew Millstein joined Disney in 1997.  Prior to that he was head of production for Digital Domain, which produced visual effects for the movies "Apollo 13", "Dante's Peak" and "Titanic".
