Local Town Gets Recognized as “Great Place” for 2014

The New Jeresy Chapter of the American Planning Association named this Atlantic County downtown area a great place to be in 2014.

Downtown Hammonton has been under a revitalization project for the past 20 years. The  Great Places award recognizes downtown areas for their streets, neighborhoods and public spaces. I love the way Main Street comes alive for Crusin' Mainstreet.

Hammonton's downtown also shares this award with the downtown areas of  Atlantic Highlands, Monmouth County; Haddonfield, Camden County; and Summit, Union County.

An award ceremony celebrating Hammonton as a great place in 2014 will be held  October 16th at 11:00AM at Hammonton Town Hall.
