A day after completing a 21-game win streak by winning the Babe Ruth World Series, the 14-year-old Atlantic Shore baseball team returned home to a victory parade and a hero's welcome on Sunday.

Atlantic Shore held off a late rally by Tri-Valley, California for an 8-7 win in the championship game Saturday in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

ASHORE Coach Dave Geiger and his championship squad, comprised of players from Northfield, Ocean City, Ventnor, Atlantic City, Linwood and Ocean City were escorted by fire and police departments from Northfield, Linwood and Somers Point as they paraded along Shore Road to a victory celebration held at Fehrle Field in Somers Point.

The 14 members of the team will now move on to play a different South Jersey high schools, but they will always share their championship together!

Thanks to 97.3 ESPN Radio's Mike Gill, a vice-president with ASHORE Baseball, here are some great photos of the team's victorious return to South Jersey on Sunday.
