Atlantic and Cape May Counties got lucky with yesterday's storm. Most of the state had significant snowfall from Winter Storm Janus. The biggest amounts of snow fell in Monmouth County.According to the National Weather Service 13-15 inches fell in in Manalapan , Englishtown, Freehold and Colts Neck. Only 2 to 3 inches of the white stuff fell in parts of Atlantic and Cape May counties.

Now get ready for a frigid blast of bitter cold air thanks to the return of the Polar Vortex. Sub-zero wind chills will linger until Friday.  Tonight's low will be in the single digits. It will feel more like -5 below with the wind chills.  We could see warmer temps this coming weekend. There's also the threat of more snow Saturday and late Sunday inot early Monday.. Stay tuned for more weather updates...

Bundle up and stay warm!
