One Year Later Hurricane Sandy Recovery Still Ongoing
We are stronger than the storm and there is still help available for people still dealing with damage for Super-storm Sandy. Earlier this month The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that it has extended the deadline for filing proof-of-loss claims for a second time. The new deadline is now scheduled for April 28, 2014.
Even if you didn’t apply for federal disaster assistance help may still be available from voluntary organizations through NJ 2-1-1. You can get more info by calling 2-1-1, or visit www.nj211.org.
We hope to see you tonight as we broadcast live from Lucy the Elephant in Margate for the commemoration of one year since Hurricane Sandy hit South Jersey. Beginning at 6 PM. Eddie Davis from the Lite Rock Morning Show will join me live on the air as we take part in a special Townsquare Media state-wide Moment of Light ceremony as we shine lights into the sky to prove we’re stronger than the storm!
