Logan DeAngelis was a fighter. For almost two years, the Green Bank teen fought brain cancer while fighting to keep his life as a student at Cedar Creek High School as normal as possible.

Tragically, 17-year-old Logan lost his fight with cancer on May 20th.

Understandably, His passing has been very emotional for fellow students and friends who supported Logan during his cancer treatment. The Cedar Creek junior varsity four team even named their boat "Logan Strong" in his honor.

Cedar Creek High school is planning a candlelight vigil to remember Logan on Tuesday, June 2nd, at 7pm, at the school.

"Logan Vincent, age 17 of Green Bank, passed away May 20, 2015 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He fought a long battle for 21 months against Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. Everyone knew Logan as a fighter that always had his thumb up and a smile on his face. Logan loved to hunt and fish.

He was known for shooting anything that moved. He was a former wrestler and played basketball for Mullica Township and was a member of the Egg Harbor City Crusaders football program, Egg Harbor City and Mullica Township Little League. He competed in soccer for Mullica Twp. Rec and Hamilton Twp. Travel.

Logan was a student and member of the soccer team at Cedar Creek High School. He is survived by his parents Vincent L. and Tina (nee King) DeAngelis and his sister Ashleigh DeAngelis. Paternal Grandparents Zach and Linda DeAngelis, Thomas Marshall (predeceased) and Joyce (nee Priest). Maternal grandparents Luke King (predeceased) and Anne King. He will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday May 26th 5-9pm and May 27th Wednesday 8:30-10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Funeral service Wednesday 11:00 am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Sts Hammonton. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery Hammonton.
