Funeral Services Set for Popular Northfield Police Sergeant

Services for Northfield Police officer Marty Peary will be held this Wednesday.

Peary, an acting sergeant with the Northfield Police Department, died Thursday, July 23rd at AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona. He was an 18-year veteran of the Northfield police department.

According to his obituary, the viewing will be held from 9:30A to 12:00P on Wednesday, July 29th, at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish – St. Bernadette Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, followed by a mass of Christian burial.

Interment will be held at Laurel Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by George H. Wimberg Funeral Home.

Peary was the Northfield motorcycle officer since 2010. Hundreds of motorcycle officers are expected to attend the funeral and provide a procession for Peary.

Peary, who turned 50 earlier this year, is survived by his wife Debra and two daughters, Felicia and Hannah.
