Want to lose weight without actually going on a diet?

A Cornell University psychologist say he has discovered a way that you can. Instead of making changes to your diet, make a few changes to your lifestyle.

Brian Wansink, PhD, the Food and Brand Lab Director at Cornell and author of the book,"Slim by Design: Mindless Eating Solutions for Everyday Life" says you don’t have to change the whole world. Just focus on these five places or zones. You can think globally, but you eat locally.

All you need to do is to 1) change what you do in each of these places and 2) let them know how they could help you eat less and eat better.

Here is the secret formula:

1- Eat off a smaller plate

2- Replace chips with fruit

3- Don't eat at your desk

4- Never enter your home through the kitchen

5- Chew gum while you grocery shop - it will keep you from impulse buying.

These simple lifestyle changes have helped people lose up to 35 pounds.
