A 42-year-old man from Turkey has come up with an unusual way to quit smoking…he's wearing a helmet-like cage over his face.

He wants to kick his 26-year, 2-pack a day habit, so he locks his head inside the helmet cage and gives the keys to his wife and daughter before he leaves every day.

He can't open the cage to smoke the entire day, no matter how much he craves one.

He was inspired to make the cage after trying to quit several times in the past. His father died from lung cancer and he doesn't want to go out that way.

So far in his latest extreme attempt to kick the habit, the man has made it two days without a cigarette.  I wonder if he got that cast on his arm by trying to break into his cage to have a smoke. See more about his story.
