March is finally here and preparations are underway for the 2016 St. Patrick's Day parades taking place all over the Garden State.  

St. Patrick's Day is a time to celebrate and honor the patron saint of Ireland. It's time to get your green on if your Irish or Irish-at-heart. Here's a list of 10 St. Patrick Day parades and celebrations to look forward to this year according to New Jersey Leisure Guide.

    Mount Holly Parade

    The Mount Holly Parade begins their St. Patrick's Day celebrations early, and kicks off from downtown Mount Holly this Saturday, March 5th starting at 1 PM. Look for Irish Pipe Bands and Step Dancers.

    Atlantic City Parade

    The 30th Annual Atlantic City Parade kicks off on the world famous Atlantic City boardwalk on Saturday, March 12th at 1 PM. Look for marching bands and floats as the parade celebrates its 30th anniversary.

    Wildwood Parade

    Seaside Heights Parade

    The parade takes place in Ocean County on Saturday, March 12th. Last year over 75,000 watched the festivities. The parade begins on the Boulevard in Seaside Heights at noon.

    Trenton Parade

    The 31st Annual parade in the state's capitol is scheduled for Sunday, March 13th. The opening celebration starts at 12:30 at the Church of St. Anthony.

    Belmar - Lake Como Parade

    One of the earliest and biggest parades in the state will start this Sunday at 12:30 PM at Lake Como in Monmouth County. The parade will march in the rain or snow. More than 200,000 have watched one of the top parades in the state.

    Asbury Park Parade

    Robbinsville - Parade

    Opening festivities begin on Saturday, March 19th at 12:30, with the Robbinsville Parade kicking off on Washington Boulevard at 1 PM.

    Freehold Borough - Parade

    The St. Patty's Day Parade in Bruce Springsteen's hometown will take place on Sunday, March 13 at noon. The parade will begin at Freehold Borough Hall located on East Main Street.
