Veterinarians love to tell tales about the odd things dogs they've treated have eaten.  Clothing is a common one, because it carries the scent of their owners.  Some of the more unusual items include a rubber duck, a crucifix and a set of dentures (ouch!).   You can see the X-ray picture I included of the dog who ate an entire phone cord!

One story  I'll never forget from when I was a kid was when my neighbor's dog ate... a plate of the teenage son's pot brownies and ended up in the hospital on a bad trip!

Many people who have been through this experience seem to remember how much it cost to remove the item, at least as well as they remember what the item was.

So, what has your dog eaten that he or she wasn't supposed to have eaten, and,  if you had to pay to get it out, how much did that cost?

Leave your story and comments below and listen as I read back stories this week on the Lite Rock Morning Show.
