Unfortunately for all involved, hitting a deer while driving is a pretty common occurrence in New Jersey...what's not common is the deer fighting back!

Check out the video showing one New Jersey woman against a giant buck!

Ellen Sager of Howell was driving through the township on September 17th around 8 p.m. when she hit the deer.

Howell Police Officer Nicholas Austin saw the accident from his patrol car, followed by the deer darting across the road into the darkness.

As he drove up behind Sager's stopped car, Austin's dash cam caught the deer as it ran back towards the SUV and attacks Sager through the open driver's side door.

Sager fought off the animal and was able to get back in her car and shut the door, which is when the video ends.

The deer died as a result of the accident, and Sager received minor injuries from the deer attack.

Yikes!
