The Red Cross Needs Your Help

There is a blood shortage going on now and the American Red Cross despretely needs blood. Donations are at thier lowest levels in 15  years.  You could help if you're 17 and older and weigh at least 110 pounds and are in  generally good health.

Here are some of the blood drives happening today:

Marmora: Second Cape May Baptist Church, 600 S. Shore Road, 1 to 6 p.m.

Somers Point: Christ Episcopal Church, 157 Shore Road, 3 to 8 p.m.

Galloway Township: Church of the Assumption, 146 S. Pitney Road, 2 to 7 p.m.

Egg Harbor Township: Green Tree Church, 125 School House Road, 2 to 7 p.m.

Be sure to bring a photo ID, eat a substantial meal beforehand and drink as much water as possible in the hours before you donate.
