By the end of March, the Legislature is likely to pass a bill significantly extending the statute of limitations for sex-abuse civil lawsuits in New Jersey.
New Jersey's elected leaders reached agreement on a $15 minimum wage – by 2024 for most, 2026 for seasonal and small-biz workers and 2027 for farm workers.
"We are challenging a status quo that says we can only educate children from K through 12," Gov. Phil Murphy said during a Tuesday morning press conference.
"Some families actually rely on their children as the breadwinners," said Fiona Joseph, 17, of Elizabeth. "Some people that I know — they work to pay the bills."
