State Trooper Struck By Lightning on Garden State Parkway

A New Jersey State Trooper is 'alert and conscious' after being struck by lightning this afternoon in Middle Township.The trooper was stationed in a construction zone in Middle Township on the GSP, when lightning struck his vehicle. The tropper was transported to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus in Pomona. According to the State Police, the trooper is reported to be alert, conscious and is going to be alright.
