Mother's Day spending for 2015 will set a record this year.

According to the to the National Retail Federation's Mother's Day spending survey, we'll spend an average of $172.63 for Mom. Overall spending could top $21.2 million, which would set a new record for Mom and her special day of recognition.

Don't foget to buy Mom a card this year. Sales for Mother's Day cards are expected to total $786 million. Flowers are another item on Mom's favorite gift list. According to the survey, 67% of those polled, will be buying Mother's Day flowers. Another good idea is take your Mom out to a special brunch in her honor.
