Popular Atlantic City Eatery Plans a Second Location

Ryfe Bar, Restaurant, and Event Venue, the fun and tasty eatery at 4101 Atlantic Avenue, is working on opening a second Ryfe location in Moorestown, Burlington County.

The restaurant is taking over the vacant site of Hash House A Go Go in the Moorestown Mall, according to The Patch. Ryfe has been approved for a liquor license and is aiming for a March opening.

Why would an Atlantic City restaurant choose a Burlington County mall as its second location?

Joe Murphy, who owns Ryfe Bar & Restaurant lives in Moorestown. Murphy is probably a good judge of site locations, having worked as a real estate investor before getting into the restaurant business.

Ryfe's Rocky Start in Atlantic City

They say timing is everything, but Ryfe's timing for its Atlantic City opening couldn't have been worse.

At the time, John Murphy told the Philadelphia Inquirer that after working for 18 months to rehab Sherlock's Liquor & Pub, Ryfe was all set to open on March 13, 2020.

Three days later, the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown began and forced the brand-new business to move to take-out and delivery only. But, Ryfe survived and prospered and became one of Lower Chelsea's favorite spots.
