Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met “Kaden” the dog.

Here’s a little background info on Kaden from the Humane Society of Ocean City…

“Kaden is a 9 year old neutered male Chihuahua. He gets along well with cats and other dogs.

Hi there! Are you looking for just the right buddy? One you can carry around, walk everywhere with, or even take with you onto a plane for your next adventure! Yahoo! I'm "Kaden"! I am a long-haired chihuahua boy of nine years of age, who just happens to need a new forever home.
I was brought to the H.S.O.C. when my former owner could no longer care for me. I have long flowing, chocolatey brown fur, and a rather spirited personality! I was originally with my litter mate in my first home.
I get along great with some dogs but, can get a tad bossy with other ones. This all brings me back to why we were talking. I need a forever family, and it just might be you! Here's what I will need, love, love, and more love.
I have not spent much time if any with children, so perhaps a household kid free would be best. Perhaps cats and other critters can be made into new friends.
Who knows? If you are indeed interested in making me part of your forever family, come by and meet me for yourself! I can see it now! The perfect family!
