Today is a sad anniversary for the Weisbecker family of Ocean City.  It was five years ago, March 11th, 2009,  when John Weisbecker disappeared without a trace from his home on the 200 black of Asbury Avenue.

According to the Ocean City Daily, police believe there are local people who know details about Weisbecker's disappearance who have never come forward. The FBI continues to offer a $50,000 reward for any information about Weisbecker's whereabouts.

Weisbecker is 6'2" with blue eyes and several tattoos.  He had brown hair and a brown mustache at the time of his disappearance. Weisbecker would be 25 years old now.

The FBI believes it is likely more than one person was involved in Weisbecker's disappearance or has knowledge of his disappearance. They also believe Weisbecker knew those involved in causing his disappearance and that the people involved are from Cape May County.

On her Facebook page, Weisbecker's sister Jordan made an appeal for help on the five-year anniversary of her brother's disappearance. "Please take a chance to read and listen to my family's story. It is something that hurts us everyday. It's been five years...it is time for my family to get answers. If this was your family in this position you would want the same thing."

Anyone with information should contact the Ocean City Police at 609-399-9111 or the FBI Newark Division at 973-792-3000.
