Northern Lights May Be Visible in NJ Tonight
It's something I'd love to cross off my bucket list, and it could happen tonight in NJ: seeing the Northern Lights!
The phenomenon also known as the Aurora Borealis is normally only seen in the highest northern latitudes, especially those north of the Arctic Circle.
Thanks to a small geomagnetic storm currently hitting the earth, the Northern Lights could dip down low enough to be visible over NJ.
The best chance to see them happens the further north in the state you go, and obviously you want to be as far from light pollution as possible. Look towards the northern horizon, and you might see it!
Even if we can't catch a glimpse of the auroras, we still might catch some of the Taurids meteor shower, which peaks on November 11th.
Cool!
