In the new flick The Longest Ride, Luke is a former bull-riding champion and Sofia is about to graduate college and move to NYC for an art internship.  Their paths cross and sparks fly from the start, but they soon realize their lives are going in very different directions.  Fate brings them to an elderly man named Ira (played by Alan Alda), who shares memories of his life and deep devotion to his wife.  Through his eyes, Luke and Sofia are able to see what is truly important in their own lives.

The Longest Ride may be just another chick flick, but I must admit I was hooked from the beginning.  Luke and Sofia were downright adorable, and the stories Ira told about his life were sweet and touching.  I admit I was a little teary-eyed.

If you can't help yourself when it comes to chick flicks, then by all means you should see The Longest Ride.  And even if you're not much into chick flicks, if you like Alan Alda, then you just may enjoy the movie anyway.  The Longest Ride may be a predictable romance, but it's still a good ride.  :)
