The First Bike Ride Without Training Wheels for Eddie’s Daughters [VIDEO]

Recently, my daughters Eileen and Bridget decided training wheels aren't cool.  They may have overheard  a conversation with some older schoolkids or seen something about bikes on TV, I don't know, but, suddenly they had made their minds up and there would be no reconsideration - the training wheels had to go.

One thing not considered by my five-year-olds was, that they didn't know how to ride their bikes... with out training wheels.

Now with the training wheels removed though, there is no turning back, it's time to learn how to ride a bike!

Over the Memorial Day Weekend, my wife and I took the girls out to the playing fields at Mainland High School, which has some gradually sloping hills on a grassy surface.

I'm very proud of how well the girls did on their first bike lesson.  They haven't completely mastered the bike without training wheels, but they seem to be fast learners! See for yourself.  Take a look at one of Eileen and Bridget's first rides on the two attached videos.
