Help With Lite Rock’s Holiday Food Drive Saturday at Absecon ShopRite

Lite Rock’s annual Holiday Food Drive continues this Saturday, November 22nd, from 11a-1p at ShopRite of Absecon on the White Horse Pike.

When you donate this Saturday, you can enter to win tickets to see Fleetwood Mac live at Boardwalk Hall on Saturday, January 24th, 2015.

The Holiday Food drive benefits the Community Food Bank of New Jersey Southern Branch in Egg Harbor Township.

Each year the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and their partners feed 900,000 hungry people. With the help of so many caring individuals, corporations, foundations, houses of worship, schools and community groups, they have distributed almost 500 million pounds of food valued at roughly one billion dollars.

For many years during the holiday season, Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG has been involved in helping.  Each November we call on the generosity of our listeners to donate the food stuffs needed to keep the pantries at the Food Bank open and the families who rely on this food nourished.

It is that time again!  Won’t you please help us with the Lite Rock Holiday Food Drive? Here’s how to help.  Once again, Lite Rock will be visiting South Jersey ShopRites each Saturday leading up to Thanksgiving.

Join Lite Rock's afternoon guy Gary Guida Saturday at the ShopRite of Absecon and help us fill the truck from Gentilini Motors in Woodbine.  Gentilini, two great American brands, the same South Jersey family for over 60 years!

The Community Food Bank of New Jersey Southern Branch is making a special appeal this year for canned soups, meals in a can, peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna and other meats, and cereal.
