An Atlantic City man is the latest Atlantic County resident to die from COVID-19, according to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health.

Authorities say he was 42-years-old and had underlying health conditions. He becomes the seventh person in the county to die from the virus.

In addition, 24 new cases were reported on Friday, bringing the total to 222.

Of the 24, 14 are men from ages 13 to 63 and 10 are women between the ages of 31 and 91.

Atlantic County will provide COVID-19 drive-thru testing for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription on Tuesday, April 14th, and Thursday, April 16th, at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. Appointments, which are mandatory, can be made on the county website.
