The class of 2012, well over 650 students strong, will graduate from Egg Harbor Township High School tonight at a 6:10p.m. ceremony in the school's football stadium.  (The weather should be good for the outdoor commencement).

It is easy to have a soft spot for this... particular graduating class.  The much-delayed school expansion,  dubbed "the project from hell",  was ongoing through their entire high school experience.  It wasn't until this year that they could even use their own school's auditorium.

The massive expansion project  which included  2-dozen new classrooms, 4 new science labs, the new auditorium, and new cafeteria and kitchen had been in the works since 2005, but ran in to one delay after the next for years.    Put it this way...these kids are used to seeing "pardon our appearance" signs!

There will be no more delays for these graduates, though.  Tonight they'll experience one of the most memorable times of their lives as they take their turn as the Egg Harbor Township Eagles Graduating Class of 2012!
