Gov. Christie wrapped up another town hall meeting this afternoon from Long Beach Township. The meeting focused on the state’s efforts to provide assistance for local residents and for  business owners.

Nearly 600 people packed  the St. Francis of Assisi Community Center  on Long Beach Island.

Gov. Christie also mentioned that the state will spend $25 million on a new marketing campaign for the shore. The money will be used from $1.8 billion the state just received from the federal government.

Small businesses would be able to start applying for grants of up to $50,000 beginning tomorrow. Grants of up to $150,000 to make repairs and also elevate properties will be available in the coming weeks.

You can visit the state’s new website at  Sandyhelp.nj.gov for for more information on the applications.
