Criminals are now using a method called skimming. Skimmers are equipped with tiny cameras that are secured on the ATM. The device can record your pin number, which can be used to steal money from your account.

Here are some tips to keep your ATM data safe:

1. Make sure you use your hand to cover your password.

2. Limit your ATM visits and only use ATM's you're familiar with.

3. Check your bank balances on a daily basis.

By using a credit card instead of a debit card you have more protection in place and you can dispute any fraudulent charges.
