If you’re thinking about joining the Army, you may have to check your tats at that recruiter's door. New grooming standards are being released and they’re cracking down on their tattoo policy.

Anyone with a sleeve tattoo will automatically be eliminated from the Army - same goes for tattoos on the neck, hand, face, head or fingers.

Anything below your elbow or knee needs to be limited to 4 tattoos and none of them can be bigger than the size of your hand.

While current recruits are grandfathered into the old rules it will be hard to move up the rankings if they don’t fit the tattoo policy.

What do you think of the Army's new tattoo policy?  Do you know of people who have tats who would no longer be able to serve Uncle Sam?
