The cost of your turkey dinner is down just a bit from last year. The average Thanksgiving Dinner will cost $49.04 a whopping 44 cents less than it did in 2012 because the cost of turkey is down. However, the cost of travel will cost you more than it did a year ago.
There's a new survey out from Butterball Hotline on who will be cooking the Thanksgiving Turkey. According to the survey more men will be taking on the turkey this Thanksgiving and deep frying is the main reason why.

The USDA has a hot line for meat and poultry that’s available to help. You can call them at 1-800-535-4555 anytime to hear recorded messages. The hot line is open on Thanksgiving Day from 8:00 a. m. to 2:00 p.m.
