Drug dealers would be well-advised to steer clear of Galloway Township if they want to stay out of jail.

The township's K-9 dogs received almost perfect scores in a recent drug detection test.

Congratulations to Galloway K-9 dogs Titan, Zito and Rocky and their handlers, K-9 Officers Kevin Welsh, Mark D'Esposito and Scott Winneberger.

Here are details on the dogs excellent performance in drug scent detection, from the Galloway Township Police Facebook page...

"On Wednesday, March 25, 2015: K-9 Titan, K-9 Zito, & K-9 Rocky all participated in The United States Police Canine Association Region 15 Scent Detection Trials. Each K-9 team was highly successful in the trials having scored an average of 99 points out of a possible 100.

The scent detection trial tested our canines' ability to detect the odor of illegal narcotics in various environments. All of our canines proved once again to be highly successful in demonstrating their outstanding talent to detect illegal narcotics and help remove them off of our streets.

It is the second most difficult for our canines to complete. The most difficult task is to simultaneously look at a camera at the exact same time."
