Stockton College Police, assisted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, are investigating the death of a student Sunday on campus at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Galloway.

According to Stockton spokesperson Maryjane Briant, a male student was reported to be unresponsive around 3pm Sunday, and appeared to be dead when police arrived.

The cause of death has yet to be determined, Briant said, “but it does not appear to be foul play”.

As of Sunday night, the college had not released the man’s name, although they said the student’s family had been notified.

The college will offer counseling to students, according to Briant.
