Saying Goodbye to One of Somers Point’s Finest Eateries

In case you haven't heard, one of Somers Point's beloved restaurants has shut its doors for good.

According to Shore News Today, The Sandi Point Coastal Bistro on Shore Road has officially closed. The Sandi Point was a fixture is Somers Point since the summer 2009, and was also a fixture for live jazz music from the South Jersey Jazz Society.

I loved the food, the atmosphere and the views of the bay. A few years back, I spent every Friday in October at the Sandi Point for our Pink Friday series of live broadcasts.

The owners were always nice to us and made us feel right at home. It was great to walk around the bar, spending time chatting with our Lite Rock Listeners. I had to turn down so many offers of free drinks since I was working. Sorry to see this restaurant close its doors for good.
