Police Officer From Longport Killed in Motorcyle Accident

A veteran poice office from Longport was killed in a traffic accident involving a motorcyle yesterday.

According to the Press Of Atlantic City Sgt. Charles (Tom) Adams was off duty at the time of the accident which occured near Route 40 and Tuckahoe Road, in Franklin Township in Gloucester County, at about 4:15 p.m.

Adams' motorcycle collided with an SUV. The accident is currently under investigation. Sgt. Adams was a 21 year veteran of the Longport Police Department.
