Police Ask for Help Locating Missing 12-Year-Old Atlantic City Girl

Atlantic City Police are searching for a 12-year-old Back Maryland Girl who has not returned home since last week.

Authorities have been canvassing the Back Maryland neighborhood with pictures of the girl and they are also requesting your help.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Shanyah Castro left her home on the 800 block of North Maryland Avenue last Thursday and has not returned.  Police say she has been in touch with her family by cellphone and social media, but her whereabouts are unknown.

Castro may be in the company of another runaway, 15-year-old Sadiyah Gilliard, police said.

Castro is 5'5" and weighs 195 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a medium-brown complexion.
