Township Administrator Christopher Reid tells the Star Ledger a zoning officer has concluded that their filming their summer vacation inside a home on Sunset Drive South is a “non-permitted use in a residential zone.

Mike Loundy , the owner of them home, will be issued a violation notice today and he will have 10 days to respond to the Township. Taping can continue during that time.

“There isn’t any intent on the township at all to do anything but follow the ordinances that are already in place,” Reid told the Star Ledger.

Attorney Ron Gasiorowski, the lawyer hired by residents to stop taping of the show, seems to be in agreement with the Township's action. “It is in a residential zone and is in violation of their ordinance. There are other areas of the township where this type of activity could take place in zones where this would be covered,” Gasiorowski told the Asbury Park Press.

Residents have been concerned since plans became public about the plan for Nicole "Snooki" Polilzzi and Jennifer "JWoww" Farley to vacation in the rented home with their respective families believing there would be an increase in traffic and noise on the quiet residential island. Many residents are still working on rebuilding their homes damaged by Superstorm Sandy and saw their presence as a distraction.

As Township officials and residents went public with their concerns a war of words started on Twitter with Polizzi calling her critics "haters" who should "grow up." She took their rejection personally as an attack on her family and says she has moved beyond the wild behavior she displayed on MTV's Jersey Shore.
