Ocean City High School’s Devon Grisbaum not only won the 3000- meter run at Saturday’s Hispanic Games in New York, but she did it in near-record time.

Grisbaum, a senior at Ocean City High School, won the New Jersey cross country Meet of Champions earlier this season.

She will attend Vanderbilt University on an athletics scholarship next year.

According to milesplit.com, a tracking website for runners, Devon Grisbaum’s time in winning the 3000-meter at Saturday’s race held at the New Balance Track and Field Center was 10 minutes, 9.8 seconds.

This year’s fastest time was 10:08.44, recorded by Bella Burda of Arlington, New York.
