After 60 years of serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Geets Diner in Williamstown closed its doors without any notice last August. Now, there's some good news to report about this South Jersey landmark.

At the corner of Sicklerville Road and the Black Horse Pike in Williamstown stands Geets Diner. It is so much of an icon that if anyone gives you directions to or through this Gloucester County town, it will in some way reference Geets Diner.

Geets faced chapter seven bankruptcy this past summer and with practically no notice, shut down while people were eating. Now, there's a glimmer of chrome-covered hope for this eating hot spot.

NJ.com reports a federal bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of Geets to Kala-Trofi, LLC, for $3.9 million.

Monroe Township Councilman Cody Miller told NJ.com, "We knew at some point in time someone was going to come and purchase that property... township is going to work with the owners to do everything in their powers to help them and support them."

There's no word on when Geets Diner might reopen, but improvements in both physical appearance and food quality are planned, according to the article.
