New 2024 Ranking Names 3 Cape May County Hotels NJ’s Best

U.S. News & World Report revealed its 14th annual rankings of the best hotels on Monday and several South Jersey hotels and resorts dominated the rankings in New Jersey.

The 3 Best Hotels in New Jersey Are in Cape May County

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Congress Hall in Cape May was named the best hotel in New Jersey and finished with a 556 ranking nationally.

The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor came in second in the state and #559 nationally.

The Virginia Hotel, a 24-room boutique hotel in Cape May finished third in New Jersey in U.S. News & World Report's 2024 rankings and #747 nationwide.

Congress Hall and The Virginia Hotel are both Cape Resorts properties, a group of hotels and restaurants headed by founder and managing partner Curtis Bashaw, giving the company two of the top three hotel choices in New Jersey this year.

South Jersey Also Has New Jersey's Top 3 Resorts

There's more good news for Congress Hall. The historic hotel that once served as the summer White House also topped the new 2024 U.S. News & World Report as  New Jersey's best resort.

Congress Hall moved to the #203 resort nationally, up from #308 in 2023.

Stone Harbor's The Reeds at Shelter Haven also received more accolades, finishing as NJ's second-best resort in the survey. and #205 nationwide.

New Jersey's #3 resort hotel according to U.S. News & World Report was Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, which finished at # 372 nationally.

U.S. News says they rank hotels across numerous countries, regions, and destinations by factoring in each hotel's star rating, the opinions of travel experts, and the overall customer satisfaction expressed in online guest reviews of luxury hotels and resorts provided by TripAdvisor.
