Low Tide Beach Ride, Vintage Car Cruise, Beach fireworks

The 7th annual Brendan Borek Memorial Low Tide Beach Ride takes place from 6:30p-8p Saturday, July 29 on the beach in Avalon.

The ride is one of many charity events put on each year in Brendan's name. Brendan was a fun loving teen who loved sports, art and surfing. He was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, Ewing's sarcoma, when he was 16 years old.

Brendon died in 1991, shortly after celebrating his 18th birthday.

The Low Tide Beach Ride is a family-friendly 2-mile ride on the hard sand at the ocean's edge on the 9th St. Beach. The registration fee is $25 and all proceeds go to Brendan's Fund. Call 609-967-0100 for more information.
